Round 6 in Div 1

Round 6 in Div 1

Leaders Aroma fall from grace suffering their first loss of the season, Fisherman end their losing streak TTT continue their’s, a second half comeback not enough for McWarriors going down by a goal to Karma who much needed a win to stay in contention and in the last game WeSoy continue their unbeaten run defeating the Deez.

Game 1. Fisherman vs TTT ..  A quite game really with not to much action, all though it was close the Fisherman looked comfortable and untroubled as they breezed their way to victory thanks to a double from John Jang ( this a sneaky one –> http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=222181234503481)  and Robert Shin. A second half comeback was not enough as David Chu got a double for the T’s and Tom Dobbelsten seemed to trouble the Fisherman defense at times, this lob nearly a goal , click to view http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=222182554503349.  Final score is what mattered in the end and it said 4-3 to the Fisherman.

Game 2 . Mac Warriors vs Karma .. Karma starting off real hard and fast getting a quick 2 goal lead thanks to some great team work and some great finishing by Louis Amon. McWarriors seeming to be all over the place as the lead was extended to 3-0 at one stage. Mcwarriors attack kept hitting a defensive wall. Finally the Warriors get through with a goal from Jesse and seemed to be on a comeback.First half finished at that scoreline as the game settled down. Karma again drew first blood in the second half as it seemed they would well and truly run away with the game making the scoreline 5-1 at one stage, however were soon tired and the Warriors youth began to show as a comeback was on the cards. The Warriors scoring three consecutive goals were able to bring the score to a more respectable 5-4 but it wasnt enough in the end. Final score 5-4 to the Karma and a very valuable win.

Game 3- Aroma vs Relax FC: A very physical and exciting game as last seasons king pins went head to head, a very close game with Relax FC having the final laugh in a 3-2 victory. Aroma unable to really get a game happening as they tried to use their usual physical approach while Relax on the other hand played it calm and patient capitalizing on the Aroma errors. A double from Sercan Agar was the only goals that were scored for Aroma as they kept missing chance after chance much to the delight of Relax .. A second half collision between Aroma keeper and Relax FC player scarred the game which was otherwise  had plenty of entertainment. Sami Ali Khan getting a double for his team and Besat Haliti the middle man getting a well deserved goal. FInal score 3-2 to Relax ..

Game 4- Deez vs WeSoy :Deez against WeSOY on paper suggested it was going to be a tight game. Only one place separated the two teams on the ladder, and only 3 goals separated their goal difference. The opening five minutes was exactly as expected with WeSOY throwing players forward with a few good scoring opportunities coming their way. Deez netted the game’s first goal, however WeSOY quickly answered bringing it to 1-1. The remainder of the first half went back and forth with some great opportunities going to both teams. The difference maker here was the WeSOY goal keeper Melad Najem who made some stunning saves to deny Deez any more goals before half time. Going into the break the score was 3-1 to WeSOY. Both teams started strong in the second half however it was Deez who showed the technical and fitness edge. Their give-and-go clearly got the better of the WeSOY defence on more than one occasion and allowed them 4 goals throughout the second half. Again, it was because of brilliant goal keeping from the WeSOY custodian that Deez did not score more. A video of one such save is up on the Futsal Homebush facebook page. In the end, WeSOY were able to secure two more crucial goals to give them just enough for the win. The final score 5-4 to WeSOY to set the stage for a very exciting match next time these two meet.
