Requirements
- Futsal is a 5 a side game, however minimum of 7 players must be registered, as having subs is vital. You may register more than 7 if required. You may make unlimited substitutions during the game.
- Games are played in two halves. Games will be played any time between 7pm-11pm.Requests can be made to play at a specific time but must be requested before the season as all requests may not be met.
- Games are refereed by Futsal NSW referees and are played in a league structure, minimum of 8 teams in a tournament to play each other twice. Top 4 teams make the sudden death semi finals. Finals series are free of charge.
- Each team must have a team kit with numbers on the back, must wear long socks and shin pads for safety. Referees will not allow players on the field with no shin pads and jewellery. If colours clash, coloured bibs will be provided. Futsal Homebush can supply team kits (shorts and jersey) for $40 each printed with your team name and logo, or sponsor if you have one. Waiting time will be 3 weeks.
- Indecent behaviour and violence will not be tolerated. Futsal Homebush will have the right to remove a team from the tournament if it believes the team members incite violence or show a continuous pattern of vile and indecent behaviour. Please select your team mates accordingly.
Charity Shield Competition
- All teams will be expected to play in the Charity Shield Tournament which will be a world cup style grouping of the total teams in the tournament. Each group will have 4 teams and will play a minimum of 3 games. If you keep winning you will advance to quarter finals, semi finals and then Grand Final.
- The games will be played on the same nights as your competition and same time slots as usual. The 3 group games will be played half way through the usual league season. The league will have a 3 week break and the shield games will be played during this interval.
- This year we expect 48 teams to take part in the tournament. Teams will be given handicaps depending on their level of game. The criteria will depend on the division played and the placement after round 7 or 8 of the league tournament.
- Game fees for these matches will be collected on the night after or before the game.
- All proceedings from this charity tournament will go towards charity. The charity group supported will be announced before the competition.
Behaviour
- Living in a civilised society brings with it a responsibility to behave in a civilised manner. As Futsal is a fast paced game accidents may happen, certain players may show more competitiveness than others; this will be tolerated as long as it is in a decent fashion and in accordance with the spirit of the game.
- Fighting, instigating fights, threats, racial prejudice and all kinds of violence will not be tolerated. We have the right to ban any team any time with proper justification. No one has the right to ruin the experience for others.
Rego forms and other material will be sent to you after your decision to play is confirmed.
